Project Type

Photography

Date

August 2020

This project involved the design and installation of bespoke metal railings and stairs for a flat located above the back of a shop roof. The primary goal was to provide safe, durable, and stylish access to the elevated living space, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Design and Materials: The stairs and railings were crafted from top-grade steel, selected for its exceptional strength and weather resistance. The design features sleek, modern lines with a polished finish, offering a contemporary look that harmonizes with the urban environment. Each component was meticulously engineered to ensure safety, stability, and visual harmony with the existing architecture.

Fabrication and Installation: The entire structure was pre-fabricated in a workshop to guarantee precise measurements and a seamless fit. Upon delivery, the modular sections were swiftly assembled on-site, minimizing any disturbance to the shop’s operations. The railings were securely installed to provide a safe barrier, while the stairs were fixed to create a sturdy and reliable route to the flat.

Aesthetic Considerations: To complement the shop's existing exterior and the surrounding environment, the railings and stairs were finished with a durable Finish that matches the building's palette. This not only enhances the visual appeal but also adds an extra layer of protection against the elements, ensuring long-lasting beauty and functionality.

Client Feedback: The client was delighted with the outcome, particularly praising the balance between practical functionality and sleek design. The new railings and stairs not only provide safe and convenient access to the flat but also significantly enhance the overall appearance of the property, adding a touch of modern elegance to the back of the shop.
